Cottage Farm Nurseries has everything you need to provide colour and interest throughout the colder months in your beds, borders, baskets and containers.
We have over 30 separate colours of pansies and violas, including mixed colours, which are grown here on the nursery, so we are able to offer far superior plants and much more variety at lower prices.
We also grow primroses & polyanthus. Polyanthus are similar to primroses but unlike primroses, the flowers stand proud of the leaves of the plant. We have mixed and separate colours of both. Bellis is another hardy favourite which brightens up the garden with its pretty daisy like flowers.
Myosotis ( Forget-Me- Not) is also a very popular Spring flowering favourite. They are short lived perennials that self seed to come back year upon year. The flowers are very small but they form a wonderful carpet of beautiful colour.
Wallfowers are another good choice and should not be overlooked! Tough enough to cope with even the poorest of soils, they produce lovely scented, colourful flowers in both dwarf (Tom Thumb) and tall varieties (Harlequin)
Clare, formerly trained and renowned for her expertise, provides a hanging basket service second to none. You can either choose a beautiful basket or container that has already been made or you can bring in your own baskets and containers and specify precisely what you would like in each one.
If you prefer to make your own, we have a lovely variety of Winter basket plants you could use including heathers, cyclamen, grasses, ivy, mini shrubs to name just a few!
We stock tulips, crocus, daffodils including dwarf varieties such as Tete a Tete and jetfire, muscari (grape hyacinth), hyacinths, snowdrops (potted or in the green) etc.
